BBKA - Basic Exam
This is the official basic beekeeping qualification of the British Beekeepers Association. A bit like a driving license it enables the candidate to show they are a competent beekeeper with a basic understanding of good beekeeping husbandry. On the successful completion of the assessment, the candidate will receive an official BBKA certificate.
The candidate must have been keeping their own bees for a year before they are eligible to take the assessment. The club encourages people to take the exam but this is not mandatory.
There are a number of BBKA exam modules available, if people become addicted to learning about bees!
