The National Bee Unit provide talks, activities and diseased combs for beekeepers to see at Bee Health Days. The Northern team of bee inspectors will be joining Lancaster Beekeepers’ branch for a learning day at Lancaster Royal Grammar School on July 23rd 2022. Lancaster Beekeepers are kindly hosting the event and organising the venue.

Varroa, Asian hornet, Biosecurity & Hygiene will be on the agenda, also most importantly, there will be a rare opportunity to see actual diseased combs, including the notifiable diseases of American Foul Brood (AFB) & European Foul Brood (EFB) in a safe & biosecure environment. The different sessions are intended to help beekeepers new & experienced to increase their knowledge of honeybee pests & diseases & therefore improve the health of their honeybee colonies.
